Strong messages on NIFCA stage

Many finals hopefuls came, performed and conquered the stage on the opening night of the National Independence Festival Of Creative Arts (NIFCA) performing arts semi-finals.

It was an excellent showcase by artistes before an intimate audience at the Lester Vaughan School in Cane Garden, St Thomas, on Friday evening.

Young Brandon Byer-Maloney’s performance of the dramatic piece I Want To Know was outstanding. Written by his principal, Tyrone Marshall, the Gordon Walters Primary School student touched on the serious subject of adults being proper examples for children not just in their words but more importantly their actions. While the nine-year-old’s delivery was hilarious, his message was never once lost.
