Sam Lord’s over to Wyndham

THE NEW SAM LORD’s Castle Barbados will be a Wyndham Grand Resort.

Chairman and chief executive officer of Wyndham Worldwide, Stephen P. Holmes, finalised the agreement yesterday with chairman of the Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. (BTII), Everton Walters, and BTII CEO Stuart Layne in Parsippany, New Jersey, United States, to develop the five-star hotel.

The 450-room hotel, which is on the verge construction at the site of the historic St Philip property, will be operated by the Wyndham Hotel group, the world’s largest hotel company, which has a global portfolio of about 7 700 properties.

It will be Wyndham’s 13th property in the Caribbean.
