Peter Brathwaite’s last act was a familiar family errand.

But this time, the 52-year-old did not make it back home as he collapsed and died in the road at Belle Road, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael, the victim of an apparent heart attack.

His sister Cheryl collapsed at the sight of her brother, whose body lay in the road, while his father stoically kept a vigil as police carried out their investigations.

Brathwaite was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:20 p.m. by police medical officer Dr Andrew Murray.

Sister Wendy Griffith told the MidWeek Nation her brother had suffered from chest pains earlier in the year and had been admitted for treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
