Not all eggs in Knight’s basket
WHILE THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT of Tyrese Knight has been a boost for the sport of table tennis in Barbados, local administrators have no intention of putting all theirs eggs in one basket.
That assurance was given recently by president of the Barbados Table Tennis Association, Ray Jackman, who was speaking shortly after the opening ceremony for a Level One coaching targeting teachers at the primary and secondary levels.
The course is being conducted by International Table Tennis Federation development officer Ramon Ortega, who has done a similar course here before.
“We were offered this technical course as a result of our success in hosting the ITTF World Cadet Challenge (WCC) in Barbados,” Jackman told SUNSPORT.
