Several parishes to be fogged next week

THE MINISTRY OF Health’s Vector Control Unit will target several parishes next week, when it continues its fogging programme between 4:30 pm. and 7:30 p.m. each day. 

On Monday, October 26, the fogging team will visit Risk Road, Berbice, Fitts Village, Prospect, Prospect Ridge, Crusher Site Road, Holders Hill, Derricks, Appleby Gardens and surrounding districts in St James.

On Tuesday, October 27, the unit will target St Philip and St John, where

Mount Pleasant Gardens, Station Hill, Massiah Street, Stewart Hill, Rose Gate, Chapel Land, Church Village, Cox Hill, Cliff Den and the environs will be sprayed.

St Lucy and St Peter will be the focus on Wednesday, October 28, when the fogging team visits Crab Hill, Crab Hill Development, Grape Hall, Avis Town, Greenidges, Queen’s Street, Archers Lane, Bovell Road, Mango Lane, Chapel Street, Major Walk and neighbouring areas.

On Thursday, October 29, districts in St Philip and St Andrew will be fogged, including Shrewsbury, Bequest, Eastbourne #1, #2 & #3, Belleplaine, Lakes, Isolation Road, and Jordans Road.

Fogging will culminate on Friday, October 30, in the Christ Church and St James districts of Rendezvous Ridge, Rendezvous Gardens, Amity Lodge, Brewster Road, Orange Hill, Jackman’s Alley, Baywoods and the environs.

Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the spray. Children should be discouraged from running behind the fogging vehicle. (BGIS)
