CELEBRITY chef and star of the Emmy Award-winning show A Taste Of History, chef Walter Staib, started recording his seventh season in Barbados, lighting the opening flames.
The Sandals culinary ambassador was here recently at the historical Morgan Lewis Windmill, Welchman Hall Gully and George Washington House filming his show and exploring culinary delights with deep roots to the ancestral and present history of Barbados.
“Barbados has been amazing. The foods we made and tasted, the friendliness of the people and the history of the island is incredible,” said Staib. “We made cou cou with flying fish, along with the conkies and fishcakes for dessert and loved every bit of it.”
Staib said his cooking experience in Barbados was a “flavourful” one and admitted developing great admiration for the aroma-enticing local seasonings – some of which he has already bagged and tagged for his return trip home.
