Fire officers rescue man from ravine

FIRE FIGHTERS RESCUED a man who fell over a bridge at Bennetts Road, St Thomas this afternoon.

The man, who has been identified as Wilfred “Will” Rouse, plunged 12 to 15 feet into the ravine below.

The special services of the Barbados Fire Service had to be called out to pluck the labourer from the gully.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (AC)
