PRINCIPAL OF THE University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Eudine Barriteau, is committed to providing modern facilities for staff and students “befitting the pursuit” of science,  technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

Barriteau said she had already spoken to Minister of Education Ronald Jones on the matter of infrastructure of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and had received his blessing.

She made the plug to hopefully attract the attention of Inter-American Development Bank, which was largely responsible for the installation of a 12 kilowatt solar photovoltaic system on campus. The system was handed over during a commissioning ceremony in the Henry Fraser Lecture Theatre this morning.  (YB)
