BRIDGETOWN – Barbados Pride, with a first innings lead of 54 runs, reached 171 for three in their second innings – an overall lead of 225 runs – against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at the close of play on the third day and penultimate day of their second round regional Professional Cricket League first-class match at Kensington Oval here Sunday.

The batsmen dismissed were captain Kraigg Brathwaite for 72 (151 balls, 189 minutes, 6×4), Shai Hope (25) and Kyle Corbin (16) with one wicket apiece for Narsingh Deonarine, Kavesh Kantasingh and Imran Khan.

First innings century-maker Shamarh Brooks was not out on 51, partnered by Roston Chase on four, at stumps.

Earlier, Red Force, resuming from 153 for three overnight, were dismissed for 246 in response to Barbados Pride’s first innings total of 300.

Wicket-keeper Steven Katwaroo hit the top score of 64 off 166 balls with nine fours before he was bowled by seamer Kevin Stoute, who was Barbados Pride’s most successful bowler with four for 54 off 23 overs.

Miguel Cummins finished with three for 65 and fellow pacer Kemar Roach took two for 38. (EZS)
