Tuach teams up with Sol, Suzuki Caribbean
BARBADOS’ teenage surfing phenomenon Chelsea Tuach will be teaming up with Suzuki Caribbean and Sol as she embarks on a new and historic journey for Barbados on the World Surf League’s world championship Tour in 2016.
Tuach will be the first surfer, male or female, to represent not only her country but the Caribbean region on what is known as the “dream tour” and which is open only to the top 17 female and top 34 male professional surfers in the world.
“I am a great fan of the Suzuki brand and family and active way of life philosophy and am really excited to ride for both Suzuki Caribbean and Sol,” Tuach said.
“I am also really grateful for their support as I start this new phase of my career where I will come up against the best 17 professional women in the world and seek to do my sponsors, my country and the Caribbean region proud.”
Suzuki Caribbean regional marketing manager Simon Willis said they were excited to welcome Tuach as part of the Suzuki Caribbean and Sol family.
“She is a great talent and ambassador for our region and epitomises our ‘way of life’ philosophy with her active, wholesome and positive lifestyle which is an inspiration for the people of our region,” Wills said. (PR)
