Emela still missing

IT IS FORTY days and forty nights since Emela John has been missing.

For each of them, Tracey Lawrence has missed her daughter, but none more so than yesterday November 16; John’s 19th birthday.

Emela disappeared from her Chapel Gap, Paynes Bay, St James residence on October 7.

A soft-spoken Lawrence told the DAILY NATION yesterday: “I’m not doing well. I’m not doing well at all.”

Lawrence said her daughter loved to bake on her birthday.

“She’d probably be in the kitchen now doing cakes and on her tablet or phone messaging away and skinning her mouth,” Lawrence said.

She added that talking about the situation provided her with some kind of relief.

“This is the only way I keep my head going because when I’m home by myself and I’m lonely and not talking to anybody, my brain just starts to wander and I just start to feel sick,” she said. (AD)
