Lions Club reaches out to teen mums
CONCERNED about the many teenage girls who are young mothers, the Lions Club of Barbados South has conceptualised an intervention programme.
Called the Intervention Support For Adolescent Mothers, the programme is designed to help young girls between the ages of 11 and 19 transition to adulthood.
Yesterday at the official launch of the programme, guest speaker Senator Harry Husbands, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, told the girls that it was not the end of their lives.
