Doughlin in two finals

NATIONAL PLAYER Mark Dowell and promising junior Tyrese Knight will be hoping to find the prescription written by Dr Shannon Doughlin palatable, at least when they come up against him tonight in the finals of the Barbados Table Tennis Association’s national championships.

The event will take place at the Table Tennis Centre starting with the B Class final between Roje Sealy and Kai Best-Griffith, scheduled for 6 p.m.

Doughlin, a former Caribbean junior champion, will face Knight in the A Class final at 8:30 p.m. Knight attends the Combermere School – the alma mater of Doughlin – but despite the usually close bond between those associated with that historic learning institution, no favours will be granted on either side.
