Weithers last man standing in MMA
CLEARLY NOTHING trumps strength and endurance!
It was impossible to beat Corey “Stokes” Weithers at the Spartan Caribbean Fighting Championship’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) knockouts at the Searocks Dome, Barbados Beach Club, Maxwell Christ Church on Friday night.
Weithers used his self-defence technique of jumping kicks, sidekicks, hammer fists and knees along with his wrestling skill of grappling gained from his involvement in the Regional Organisation for Combat Karate/Combat Jujitsu to telling effect.
Packing 202 pounds of muscle, he forced some of the best MMA fighters who were also from the same club to tap out to get free of his intense hold as he emerged the “Last Man Standing” at the inaugural event.
