Barbados’ No. 2 continues to come out on top, having served up yet another masterful performance at the Top 8 Invitational by beating Richard Hornby yesterday to advance to today’s final at the National Tennis Centre.
Facing questions about his place on the Davis Cup squad, the 29-year-old Lewis more than answered the call after rolling to a 6-3, 7-6(1) victory – his fourth straight-sets win at the unofficial Davis Cup trials.
Horby’s younger brother and Davis Cup hopeful Adam is yet to drop a set at the tournament too, outclassing Matthew Hutchinson 6-1, 6-3, in an earlier semi-final.
