Lowe blasted

IF THE MINISTER of the Environment Dennis Lowe cannot do his job, then he must leave.

Those were the sentiments of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) shadow minister of the environment Senator Wilfred Abrahams as he expressed frustration at the spate of illegal dumping plaguing the country.

Deeming the lack of action by what he termed “the worst performing minister in the Government” as inexcusable, Abrahams highlighted the fact that this situation was a direct repeat of the previous year.

“The reality is that last Christmas we were in this exact position with the lack of trucks. It is inexcusable that one year later we are in the situation with respect to garbage at the same time of year as we were last year,” Abrahams told MIDWEEKNATION.
