MORE GOOD NEWS is coming for the Barbados economy. Trinidad-based investor Prestige Holdings Limited is on the verge of constructing a $30 million cinema complex at Welches, St Thomas, the company’s second mega investment in the burgeoning commercial district.

Prestige Holdings already owns the complexes that house The Walk Welches Plaza and the Cost-U-Less store.

Christian Mouttet, chairman of Prestige Holdings, confirmed to the DAILY NATION yesterday that construction of the cinemas should start by June.

With the investment, Mouttet said he was confident of more jobs for Barbadians.
