MORE THAN 80 teams turned up yesterday for the Barbados Football Association’s (BFA) season opening ceremony and awards presentation at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.
In the feature address, chairman of the National Sports Council Michael Power complimented the BFA for continuing its push towards producing footballers and officials of a high calibre.
“Under the new administration of the president, Randolph Harris, the association is also poised to see a renewed focus on football development, not only on the field of play, but in both infrastructure and administration,” he said.
“In July 2015, the association was relocated to a new expansive office which allowed for the hiring of additional staff in critical areas such as finance and marketing, which are important aspects needed to improve the administration of the association.”
