GOVERNOR GENERAL SIR ELLIOTT BELGRAVE presented insignia of National Honours and Awards to 22 Barbadians at Government House earlier today.

The outstanding recipients were recognised for their contribution to various areas of the island’s development during last year’s Independence anniversary.

They were selected from the Public Service, the Royal Barbados Police Force, nursing, education and other disciplines.

Heading the list was culture specialist Dr Cynthia Wilson on whom Sir Elliott pinned the insignia of the Companion of Honour, Barbados’ second highest honour. (GC)
