Five injured in two accidents
POLICE ARE CONTINUING investigations into a serious accident which occurred about 5 a.m. today at Pinder’s Bottom, St George, involving two motor cars.
One of the cars was driven by Roseanne Griffith, 49 years, of Brereton, St Philip. She received factures to her left leg, right arm and injuries to her neck.
She was extricated from her vehicle with the help of personnel from the Barbados Fire Service.
The other car was driven by Kadeem Stoute, 20, of Blades Hill, St. Philip. He received an injury to his left hip.
Two male passengers in his car were injured. Both passengers received head and neck injuries and one suffered a broken right arm.
The four injured persons were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulances.
Police also responded to an accident on Blades Hill Road, involving a motor van and a pedestrian, which occurred about 3:10 p.m. Tuesday.
Antonio Sullivan, five, a student of St Mark’s Primary, was struck by a motor van driven by 63-year-old Errol Herman. Antonio received injuries to his right foot and toes.
He was taken to the QEH by an ambulance, where he has been detained. (PR/SAT)
