Senior prosecutor dies suddenly
PRINCIPAL CROWN COUNSEL Lancelot Applewaithe passed away early this morning sending the courts into a state of shock regarding his sudden passing.
The 63-year-old was called to the bar in 2002 and spent six years in private practice.
On January 7, 2008 he joined the Director of Public Prosecutions office where he started out as crown counsel and lastly acted as principal crown counsel.
Up to yesterday Applewaithe was on the job at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.
Many colleagues and friends recalled his jovial and hardworking nature. (TKS)
