THERE WILL BE some changes to Crop Over 2016 one, of which will be a new show to replace Cohobblopot.

The Junior Monarch semi-finals and final will have a new venue, while the one-song discussion for Pic-O-De-Crop has been laid to rest.

Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley made the announcements on Friday evening during the Crop Over launch at Ilaro Court.

“For 2016, to quell the debate, we will have a Pic-O-De-Crop semi-final, with two songs being performed, but this time at a new venue – Kensington Oval.  As you know, the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium complex will be temporarily closed for renovations and so this year, the Pic-O-De-Crop semis and final and for the first time the Junior Calypso Monarch Final will be held at Kensington Oval.”
