Pride need 271 for victory
PORT OF SPAIN – Barbados Pride will have to score 271 runs if they want to defeat Trinidad and Tobago Red Force to take this year’s NAGICO Super50 cricket tournament.
After losing the toss, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force reached 270 for seven off their 50 overs at Queen’s Park Oval. Darren Bravo led the way with 97 runs off 104 balls, including eight fours and two sizes.
He was dropped by wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich off the bowling of Pride captain Jason Holder when he was on 54, but the pair combined to get their man in the 49th over.
Kyle Hope, who is Barbadian, scored 34.
Carlos Brathwaite took two wickets for 54 runs. Ashley Nurse, Sulieman Benn and Dwayne Smith had one wicket each.
