Fogging schedule January 26 to 28

THE VECTOR CONTROL Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its fogging programme this week aimed at controlling the Aedes Aegypti mosquito population.

On Tuesday, January 26, the unit will be in St Michael, where Government Hill, Erdiston Road, Pine Hill Road, Pine Gardens, Collymore Rock, Pine North South Road, Pine East West Boulevard, St. Barnabas and Two Mile Hill will be fogged. Fogging will also take place in Bush Hall Road, Military Road, Bush Hall Yard Gap, Pioneer Road, Stadium Road, Bow Road, Spooner’s Hill, Paradise Road, Syndicate Road, Ocean View Road, Perfection Road, Accommodation Road and neighbouring districts.

The team will return to St Michael on Wednesday, January 27, fogging Collymore Rock, Valerie, Brittons Cross Road, Beckles Road, Villa Road, Laynes Road, Scotts Gap, Burke’s Land, Eversley Road, Brittons New Road, Reece Land, Flagstaff Road.

On Thursday, January 28, districts in Christ Church and St Joseph will be sprayed, including Atlantic Shores, Coral Drive, Seaside Drive, Oyster’s Crescent, Light House Drive, Seclusion Drive, Enterprise Coast Road, Andrew’s Tenantry, Parris Hill, Branchbury, Braggs Hill, Airy Hill Tenantry and Lammings.

Fogging will resume in St. Michael on Friday, January 29, targeting Hinds Hill #1, Cave Hill, Well Gap with avenues four to eight, Lodge Hill, Lodge Terrace, Peach Court, Topaz Drive, Lodge Crescent, Hinds Hill, Airlie Tenantry, Reservoir Road, Clermont, Warrens, Warrens Park South, Regency Drive, Clermont Terrace and environs.

The exercise will be carried out from 4.30 to 7.30 p.m. daily, and householders are reminded to open windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Persons with respiratory problems are advised to protect themselves and children should not be allowed to play in the fog. (BGIS)
