THE BARBADOS LOTTERY says it will conduct a full investigation when the winner of the Mega 6 jackpot comes forward.

This comes in light of reports that a gas station cashier has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $10 000 worth in lottery tickets.

The $2 280 000 draw was won on Thursday night but no winner has come forward.

In a statement, the lottery reminded all players to sign the back of each ticket upon purchase since each ticket is a “bearer instrument”.

“As such, any person purchasing any of our games will be subjected to the policies and procedures as noted in each of our game rules and displayed on the back of the ticket.  We will validate and pay the winning funds in accordance with those policies,” the lottery said. (PR/NB)
