SANDALS took on a Kadooment-like atmosphere yesterday with guests and staff joining in the revelry of celebrations in recognition of the hotel’s first anniversary of operation.

A tuk band, shaggy bears and costumed dancers led a congaline parading from the entrance, through the hotel’s public areas in what general manager Ferry Zievinger later told guests was a sample of Barbados’ Crop Over Festival. They danced and sang along to some of the top hits of Crop Over festivals.
