Tourism body lauded for good work

THE PRIVATE SECTOR constituted Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) has been lauded for its significant contribution to tourism.

Senator Jeptor Ince, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, said the current strong turnaround in Barbados’ tourism performances was due to a team effort.

He credited the TDC for being one of the stakeholders “who work tirelessly to ensure the survival of this critical sector.”

Ince pointed to the meteoric growth of the tourism industry worldwide, which he said now accounted for close to ten per cent of global gross domestic product.
