Teen girl’s mum wants probe
A MOTHER whose 16-year-old daughter was recently released from the Government Industrial School wants an investigation into how her daughter was treated at the institution, especially during her final months there.
The girl, who also spoke to the DAILY NATION, said she was accused of writing a letter about things which were happening at the school and sending it to a popular website to be published.
She said she was locked away in a cell for almost two weeks, shunned and accosted by other girls and generally ignored for the last two months of her stay.
“I did not write the letter,” the girl said.
