FORMER CLICO BOSS Leroy Parris may have to forfeit over $3.3 million which was funnelled to him through Thompson & Associates – the law firm of late Prime Minister David Thompson.

In a stunning development, CLICO International Life Insurance Limited through judicial manager DeLoitte Consulting Inc. has successfully obtained judgment against Parris and his firm Branlee Consulting Services for the multimillion payment which the High Court had ordered frozen by the Bank of Nova Scotia.

The latest scenario in the CLICO debacle follows Parris and Branlee’s failure to file any proper defence to the matter that was initiated in January 2015 and amended at April 30, 2015.

The judicial management firm had brought a claim against Parris, Branlee and Thompson’s widow, Marie Josephine Mara Thompson, for  the estate of the late Prime Minister seeking the refund of  $3 333 000, which the judicial manager claimed was taken from CLICO in breach of trust and fiduciary duty.
