WORKERS AT THE Barbados Water Authority’s (BWA) South Coast Sewage and Treatment plant are currently engaged in protest action.

Citing environmental issues at the St Lawrence, Christ Church facility, President of the division Carl Boyce has described the situation as unbearable.

He said they were hoping to meet with the Barbados Worker’s Union as well as the Barbados Water Authority so that workers could resume as soon as possible in a safe environment.

BWU Health and Safety Officer Orlando “Gabby” Scott recently arrived at the plant to talk to workers. (MR)
