Friday nights for wine and sax

After a long week of work, relaxing with a glass of wine and good music is an ideal way to decompress.

Last Friday was one such night at The Grapevine in Lanterns Mall, Hastings, where the small gathering of locals had the sultry vocals and exuberant playing of saxophonist Kelly Patrick, who performed popular songs from artistes such as Ellie King, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and our very own Leadpipe & Saddis.

The event saw bottle service to tables and general manager of The GrapeVine stores in Lanterns and Sunset Crest, Gavin Laws, said the limes were hosted in an effort to get more patrons to pass through the establishment.

“Every Friday night we try to do something different,” he said. “ . . . And every Tuesday as well from now until the end of April we have [steel] pan. So we try to mix it up and do something different and try to entertain our guests and expose our store.”

While not being the first night for Kelly at The Grapevine, she said the setting had a nice vibe which she enjoyed performing in. (SM)
