ST JOHN’S – Fast bowler Chemar Holder has replaced the injured Obed McCoy in the West Indies team at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh.

Holder, 17, arrived in Bangladesh ahead of the quarter-final match against Pakistan, to be played on Monday (Sunday night Caribbean Time).

McCoy sustained a laceration of the webbing between his thumb and first finger on his left hand earlier on tour and is therefore unable to play.

Holder was impressive during the NAGICO Super50 Tournament last month where he made his List A debut for Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners.

He took a match-winning five for 22 against Windward Islands Volcanoes to earn the Man-of-the-Match award. (PR)
