UPDATE: Death on the ABC Highway

A WOMAN, said to be in her 60s, is the first road fatality for 2016.

According to reports, the woman was struck and killed by a white car just after 9:30 p.m. while trying to cross the ABC Highway near the Pine Hill Dairy.

A number of people gathered near the scene where police were conducting their investigations.

That section of the Highway has been cordoned off and all traffic is being diverted along the East-West Boulevard, the junction just past Parkinson Memorial School. (SOM)
