Man charged for guns and cannabis

A ST MICHAEL MAN is scheduled to appear in court today after being arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearms and cannabis.

Police say 26-year-old Rico Antonio Greenidge of Free Hill, Black Rock, went to the Bridgetown Port last Friday to clear a consignment which was shipped to him.

A search by Customs officials revealed four automatic handguns and 1.8 kilogrammes of cannabis.

Greenidge is charged with unlawful possession and importation of the firearms; possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis.

He is scheduled to appear at the District A Magistrates Court. (PR/SAT)
