BARBADOS PRIDE’S prolific opener and captain Kraigg Brathwaite gave another lesson yesterday in reaching landmarks and occupying the crease, while the elegant Shai Hope advertised his natural talent and class with an attractive knock of 98 not out.

That six, over long-on, came off the ineffective out-of-favour West Indies off-spinner Shane Shillingford, whose 22 wicketless overs cost 88 runs.

Brathwaite shared a second-wicket stand of 168 with his West Indies teammate Hope, who missed a pull and a hook off part-time medium pacer Johnson Charles off the last two balls on the second day when he was trying to bring up his century.
