TWO YEARS after he made a complaint against a lawyer in relation to his dead great-aunt, Anthony Mayers is upset that he is yet to get a hearing on the matter.
Mayers said his annoyance at what was done after the elderly woman died was compounded by his failure to get the justice he was seeking in the matter.
The retired ambulance driver, of Bonnetts Housing Area, St Michael, said his grievance was now with the Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Association which had failed to hold one hearing in the matter since he first complained.
His disillusionment came out of circumstances where his great-aunt Lorna Uraline Mayers, who was almost 90 years and a resident of a nursing home, signed over power of attorney to a relative in the presence of the lawyer.
