SHAMAR SPRINGER isn’t just song and dance.
The World Cup definitely won’t be the last dance for the Windies’ young chest-rolling showman, as the gifted all-rounder plans to take his talents to English county cricket, the Barbados squad and ultimately the senior West Indies team.
Springer revealed his plans during a VIP reception last Tuesday for the triumphant Under-19 side at the Grantley Adams International Airport just moments after the regional World Cup winning team returned from Bangladesh.
“It feels real great to be part of our winning team and it feels even better to be the first West Indies Under-19 team to win a World Cup but I’m also looking to advance my cricket this year in England and hopefully this year I can get a contract with the Barbados franchise,” said the 17-year-old Combermere student.
