THE UNIVERSITY OF THE West Indies (UWI) and Phone Medic Repair Belfield returned to their regular ways when the seventh round of the Digicel Premier League kicked off on Saturday night at the Wildey football centre.
UWI, inspired by a hat-trick from Corey Barrow, denied Belfield their second consecutive victory by handing out a 4-0 drubbing to move to 18 points and earn a four-point lead at the top of the standings.
The Blackbirds sent a strong message as contenders for the league title.
They scored two goals in either half to defeat a lacklustre, disorganised and disjointed Belfield who were expected to give more after their victorious display last weekend.
Jairo Lombardo started the goal rush in the 16th minute, heading in a Trey Hart corner from the right-hand side. (ROG)
