Minister of Commerce Donville Inniss revealed this last night as he addressed members of the Democratic Labour Party attending a St Philip South branch meeting in Belair.
Inniss said Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler was actively considering “readjusting the tax rates” so that income earners could see more cash in their pockets after enduring Government’s fiscal measures that, among other things, slashed the bulk of allowances which could be claimed on income taxes paid.
Inniss told the DAILY NATION after the meeting that he understood the cry, particularly from the middle class, that they were overburdened with high taxation.
