GEORGE BOYCE celebrated his century yesterday in grand style.
The ever-talkative and sprightly centenarian who was born on February 29, could jokingly be considered a 25-year-old as he was born in the leap year of 1916.
But Boyce, who was visited by Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave, was not confused as to the reason for the occasion – which was to celebrate that he still had life.
The father of three – two daughters and a son – toasted with wine as he and the head of state compared notes on cou-cou preparation with different types of fish.
