Fish row in City market
TEMPERS FLARED in the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex just before 9 a.m. yesterday after police were called in by a health inspector to deal with an issue.
David Phillips, the boat owner at the centre of the matter, said he was too irritated to speak to the issue but the DAILY NATION was told that inspector Michelle Wiggins instructed that he not remain on his boat, while he wanted to stay to oversee the offloading of his catch.
As word spread, several workers who reportedly had previous encounters with Wiggins vented freely. A number of them accused her of having “an attitude problem”.
“She want removing from the market,” one man said during a short break from skinning a fish.
