THE KING isn’t heading back out on tour for now.

Barbados’ top tennis pro Darian King has been sidelined for the next couple weeks at home after finally deciding to rest an ailing left wrist which has been affected by tendinitis for about a year.

King’s older brother and coach, Chris, broke the news yesterday after the Bajan No. 1 returned home following Barbados’ humbling 5-0 Davis Cup defeat in Ecuador.

“It’s not anything out of the ordinary and it’s actually a common thing for tennis players because of constant overuse of the joint and area while playing [two-handed] backhands and he was playing through the pain all this while,” explained Chris.
