SEEMS SPORTSMAX is still covering inter-school sports.

At least according to Oliver McIntosh.

The regional sports broadcaster’s chief executive officer revealed his company will definitely air the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championships (BSSAC), even after organising officials stated that the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) owns the broadcasting rights.

Without going into detail, McIntosh told SUNSPORT that the Jamaica-based cable sports network is bringing this week’s inter-school sports finals.

And this comes less than two weeks after Sportsmax announced that it will air the start of the track and field championships during the launch of Digicel Play.

But BSSAC assistant meet director Andrew Brathwaite categorically denied the comments, stating CBC was the only legally-authorised broadcaster of the event after disclosing that BSSAC didn’t enter any arrangement with Sportsmax.
