DOZENS OF YOUNG PEOPLE were commended and rewarded for their creativity and business skills when the Business Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF) held the 2016 Flow/BEF $20 Challenge awards ceremony at Concorde Experience on Saturday.

Now in its fifth year, the programme involves lending $20 to students, who then use the money to launch businesses with the aim of repaying the original loan and making a profit, as well as  developing a sense of business.

This year a charity component was added and the successful businesses made donations to various groups.

Fittingly, there was no featured speaker as the winning students were given the opportunity to expound on the valuable lessons they had learnt and how such knowledge would benefit them later in life. (KB)
