Hope keeps Red Force alive
KYLE HOPE slammed his second half-century in as many days to keep Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in the game against Barbados Pride on the penultimate day of the Professional Cricket League four-day match at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva, yesterday.
The Red Force were forced to follow-on in the final session after being dismissed for 226 in reply to the Pride’s first innings of 396.
Barbadian Hope kept the hosts alive in the contest, hitting an unbeaten 67 in a 113-run opening stand with Imran Khan (39) before the pair were separated late in the day.
But with nine wickets in hand heading into the final day today, the Red Force can still pull off a draw which will dent the Pride’s chances of gaining ground on current leaders Guyana Jaguars.
