Stranger saves children from fire

A ST MICHAEL woman is singing the praises of a man she does not even know, because he put out a fire that could have claimed her home and the lives of her children.

In Alleyne’s Land, Bush Hall, St Michael, residents pointed out Adrian Carrington, who was working on a building site nearby on Sunday, as the man who risked life and limb for the sake of the three children.

“I was passing by and I saw real people in the road, then I saw the smoke coming from the house but no one was helping,” he said, adding that he knew of the family.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Carrington sprang into action, knocking on the house to get the attention of those inside. He said a boy answered the door holding a child.
