AND THEN four heroes swam along.

The high winds and north swells in the seas at the Soup Bowl at Bathsheba made for ideal surfing conditions last Saturday afternoon.

But trouble was swirling when two Canadian teenagers got caught up in a rip tide at the St Joseph beach. But thanks to the swift efforts of some Barbadian surfers, Kaiden Fernandes and Fraser Richardson lived  to swim again.

One of the men responsible for the heroics Christian Boos, said it was a group effort led by Adrian DeFreitas. “I just went and helped,” he said. The family of Fernandes and Richardson praised the four men for their valiant efforts. (TG)
