EMPLOYERS ARE BEING asked to consider giving their workforce a number of mental health days.
The suggestion is coming from director of human resources, communication and client development at Verdun House Marietta Carrington.
She said that the drug treatment facility gives its employees up to five days in a year where they are allowed to relax their minds.
She said those days are in addition to the days set aside for sick leave and bereavement leave.
Carrington was speaking at a symposium hosted by the Human Resource Management Association of Barbados Inc. at the Hilton Barbados Resort. (TG)
