Mia: Say sorry, Chris
OPPOSITION LEADER Mia Mottley last night called for Minister of Finance Christopher Sinckler to apologise to his Cabinet colleagues and to the public of Barbados for “misleading” them during last week’s Estimates debate in the House of Assembly.
Mottley accused Sinckler of not revealing that there had been a Cabinet decision, apparently made last October, that approved board members of the National Insurance Board earning a 200 per cent increase in their fees, from $300 to $900 per month.
The Barbados Labour Party leader made the call for Sinckler to apologise as she addressed a political meeting at the corner of Westbury Road and Baxter’s Road, St Michael.
