ANGRY ST ANDREW residents walked out of the Alleyne School auditorium after they were told their presence at a meeting with officials from the Royal Barbados Police Force would not change the fact that the Belleplaine Police Station was being closed.

Ralph Blackman, one of the first to walk out and beckon others to follow, said they attended the meeting hoping for a discussion, as well as to have officials look at a petition with several hundred signatures asking for the issue to be reconsidered.

Blackman and close to a dozen residents walked out of the meeting and got very vocal in the schoolyard.
